EHI-1z Mixing Valve Actuator Module

Device Description

The EHI-1z Mixing Valve Actuator Module is designed to control three-way and four-way mixing valves in heating systems.

The device is controlled using a 3-point control signal, enabling precise adjustment of the valve position. The actuator has a 90° rotation range and a full rotation time of 180 seconds.

The module is equipped with a pull-out control knob for manual valve operation, as well as a clear display and a valve temperature sensor, allowing continuous monitoring of its operation.

The EHI-1z can operate both as part of a system managed by the Sinum Central Controller and independently, without requiring integration with the central controller.

Connection and Communication

The EHI-1z module works with the Sinum system central controller, enabling valve control and parameter configuration directly from the application.

Once the device has been properly connected and registered in the system, users can monitor the temperature, valve opening percentage, and access advanced operating settings.

The device should be connected to the Sinum Central Controller via the SBUS connector. Next, enter the IP address of the Sinum Central Controller in a web browser and log in to the system.

In the main panel, select:

Settings > Devices > SBUS Devices > + > Add Device

Then briefly press the registration button located underneath the device knob, using the tool supplied with the set.

Once the registration process has been completed successfully, a confirmation message indicating that the device has been added will appear on the screen.

After registration, the user can assign an individual name to the device and assign it to a selected room.

Adapter set

The EHI-1z module with an actuator for mixing valve is used to control three-way and four-way mixing valves. It is controlled by a 3-point signal. The module has a manual control option accessed with use of a pull-out knob. It is also equipped with a display and a valve temperature sensor. The rotation range of the actuator is 90º and the rotation time is 180s.

The set includes an adapter that allows for its easy installation on the rotary mixing valve. Thanks to the special clutch between the EHI-1z module and the mixing valves, the entire set is characterized by exceptional stability and precision of regulation. The EHI-1z operate with the following valves: ESBE, Herz, Honeywell, Afriso, Womix, Wita.

Obsługa

When the module starts, the program number is displayed for 10 seconds. After this time, the displayed values for the setpoint and current temperatures, as well as the valve opening percentage, change every 5 seconds. During valve calibration, CAL is displayed instead of the valve opening percentage.

Description of controls:

Z – setpoint temperature
A – current temperature
% – valve opening percentage

The valve setpoint temperature screen alternately displays the setpoint and current temperatures, as well as the valve opening percentage. To edit the set temperature, use the +/- buttons until the temperature starts to change.

Basic settings are available on the device. Advanced and extended options are available in the Sinum app.
