Controller for DHW pumps
The EU-21 CWU regulator is a universal controller equipped with two temperature sensors intended to control the circulating pump. The regulator’s task is to switch on the pump if the difference in sensor temperatures exceeds the set value (T2-T1 ≥ Δ), unless T2 ≥ Minimum threshold for pump activation. The pump is switched off when T2 ≤ T1 or T2 <Minimum threshold for pump activation – 2°C (constant hysteresis) or when T1 reaches the set temperature. Where: T2 – boiler temperature T1 – boiler (buffer) temperature. Such action prevents the unnecessary pump operation as well as undesirable cooling down of the tank when the power supply temperature drops, making it possible to save electricity as well as prolong the pump’s life. As a result, its reliability increases and costs related to operation are reduced. The EU-21 CWU regulator is equipped with a system preventing the pump’s stagnation during a longer stop. The pump is activated for 1 minute approximately every 10 days. An additional function is the installation’s protection against freezing. After the temperature on the boiler’s or the tank’s sensor drops below 6°C, the pump is switched on permanently; it is switched off when the temperature in circulation reaches the value 7°C.
