Presented below is a short description of how to operate and adjust operating parameters for central heating boiler controllers.
CENTRAL HEATING PUMP CONTROLLER
Easy to use controller. It is used to enable the central heating pump when water temperature in the boiler reaches the setpoint value. The pump will be disabled by the controller when the temperature drops below the threshold value (minus hysteresis in ST - 21). ST - 19 and ST - 21 controllers have the ANTI-STOP function to protect the pump against blocking with lime build-up. Outside the heating period, the pump is enabled for several minutes every 10 days. All controllers have the capability of running the pump in a manual mode. For more details, please see the Instruction Manuals for the corresponding devices.
CONTROLLERS FOR COOLING FANS
The fan runs until the boiler setpoint temperature is reached. Then it is switched into sustain mode. Every few/several minutes, blow-bies are enabled in order to maintain the combustion process and prevent gas formation in the partially damped boiler. The blow-by time is from few to several seconds. If blow-by intervals are too short, water may begin to boil in the boiler. Any temperature drop below the setpoint value minus the hysteresis will enable a blow-by. The regulators can also be used to control central heating and hot water pumps (not all types). A properly adjusted blow rate is essential for correct combustion. When the blow rate is too low, combustion is inhibited and the boiler cannot reach its heating capacity to heat water in the system. When the blow rate is too high, combustion is accelerated and some energy is lost as heat through the chimney. It is a good idea to use the zPID controller with finely and automatically adjusted blow rate, depending on the setpoint temperature and flue gas temperature at the boiler.
FEEDER BOILER CONTROLLERS
Pumps and fans are operated as in a boiler with no feeder. Additional parameters to be set include enabling and disabling the feeder in operating and sustain modes. Properly adjusted operating parameters are key to good and effective combustion. Sustain mode helps to maintain combustion. The controller offers thermal protection of the feeder. When the temperature exceeds the critical value, an alarm is sounded and the feeder is enabled for few/several minutes by the controller. Fuel is fed to the boiler. (If the temperature increase is caused by fire moving back to the screw, the function prevents fuel in the feeder from being combusted. An important parameter are the operating and pause times of the feeder and fan in sustain mode. If the operating time in sustain mode is too long and (or) the interval time in sustain mode is too short, the temperature in the boiler may grow rapidly.I In such case, protections are activated (blow and feeder are switched off). However, if heat transfer is not sufficient, water may begin to boil in the central heating system.
VALVES SUPPORTED BY OUR CONTROLLERS
Our controllers can be used with a wide selection of 220V three-point control actuator-based valves. Rotational speed of up to 1,500s/90°. Description of the nameplate:

N – supply voltage of 230V AC
Y1 – control signal: open 230V
Y2 – control signal: close 230V
